Aristo front cut

Pics of my JZS147 Toyota Aristo front cut, which I bought so I could transplant the engine and transmission into my MA61 Supra.  The engine is a 2JZ-GTE 3 litre twin turbo inline six, pretty much the same unit which powers the Mk4 Supra.  The transmission is an electronic 4-speed auto.

Phase 1 - it has arrived!

This is where the tilt-tray truck dumped it.  Apart from panel damage it seems to be in good shape.
Here it is from the front, with that fantastic engine on display.
The brakes are big!  Calipers are two-piston units.  These might be a good upgrade for the Supra, which has pretty average brakes.
The instrument panel is blank here, but it looks really cool when it's lit up!  Unfortunately the steering wheel was missing.
Switches for the electric rear curtain and air purifier.  Hmmm...
The brakes again - as you can see, the rotors are quite thick.
Out with the old, and in with the new!
Norbie's Dodgy Chop Shop.
Miscellaneous junk scattered around my front yard.  Uh-oh, which car does this belong to??
More bits start to pile up.  Note the Aristo's intercooler, which is pretty small but very thick.
No time to waste, let's start pulling stuff off it!
Boy, where do you start??
The dash, just before it's pulled out.
There are a couple of turbos down there somewhere!
The intercooler had a lot of nasty-looking oil in the bottom of it - yuk!
At a time like this it's good to have plenty of friends!

Phase 2 - get the engine out

The complete wiring loom - what a monster!
Chris Rogers poses beside the stripped shell.
It doesn't look like much, but getting that dash out was a big job.
Nick wants to take it for a drive!
Vrooom vrooom!!!
The complete engine and transmission, now free from the Aristo shell.
The front of the engine.
A turbo!  Woohoo!!!
Make that "two way twin turbo".
