This is where the fun begins! Pulling stuff apart is so much easier than putting it back together. But where do you start? That's one busy engine bay!
Persistence is the key! After a while we were left with a pile of bits and a bare shell.
Here you can see the Aristo intercooler, which is about the same size as a Mk4 Supra intercooler but about an inch narrower. There was also a fair amount of nasty-looking oil inside it, but that's pretty normal for a turbo engine that's done a bit of work. Also note the interior wiring loom - looks big doesn't it? But that doesn't include the engine loom!
The engine and transmission came out quite neatly as a single unit. It all looks in good condition, and the engine oil is squeaky-clean. There has been a minor leak from the rear of the cam covers, but it's nothing to be concerned about.
